Indie Film “Moving Parts” Premieres In Detroit

Props to Sabaoth Films creator, Daniel Duane, on his success as the Director of Photography for the recent indie film, Moving Parts, which premiered in Detroit this past weekend. The film completed nearly a year ago and was Duane's first big gig after graduating film school. If was also his first collaboration with the films directors, Harley Wallen and Jerry Hayes. Together they successfully created this suspense-drama-thriller with minimal budget and a barebones crew. The film is expected to play at several popular festivals and is rumored to already have bids for distribution.

It's clear indie film is live and well in the humble state of Michigan. Hats off to everyone involved in the picture and we look forward to what's to come from this brilliant community of filmmakers.

Short Film – Consequence

ConsequenceStill

Sabaoth Films presents it's first official short film. Director Daniel Duane takes us on an emotional ride as Jacob (Tylor Kaiser) seemingly causes the death of his close friend, Dave (Andrew Dupuis). In an attempt to answer for his sins, Jacob confronts his demons face to face.

The film was created as a promotional piece for the new film company and showcases the abilities of the Director who wrote, directed, filmed, and edited the film. Director Daniel Duane also produced it in conjunction with Chris Crawfini, one of Detroit's up and coming movie producers. The film features an original score by 18 year old composer, Joseph Schmidt, as well as the voice of Selina Gaines, a young actress from the Director's alma mater, Olivet Nazarene University.

This is just the first of a handful of short films that are in production at Sabaoth Films. The company is also developing a feature film which they hope to announce in the coming months.

Michigan’s Newest Film Company – Sabaoth Films

One could say that “story” is the single most essential element of humanity. The urge to tell stories has been ingrained into our DNA since the age of cave drawings. Now days we are surround by it. It’s the age of “Netflix-Binge-Give-Me-Entertainment-In-My-Pocket-At-All-Times”. We crave it, we love it, we can’t go without it. Stories matter more than we will ever know, that’s why Michigan’s newest film company, Sabaoth films, takes a story centered approach to their products.

Their emphasis on “story” puts Sabaoth Films on the map as a niche creator in the commercial media industry. In terms of television ads and music videos, which don’t always utilize narrative story structures, the use of story can be highly effective to sell a product, promote a brand, or represent the artistic meaning of a song. With feature films, Sabaoth excels at script development and puts great emphasis on structure, while also working to tell the most compelling story possible. Couple that with their fully trained crew and you have a force to be reckoned with.

It’s safe to say that Sabaoth Films is on it’s way to becoming one of Michigan’s most sought after media and entertainment creators.
